We we are

We are a HighScope based Preschool and Daycare program located in Saline, Michigan, serving the educational, social, emotional, creative, and physical needs of children from 6 weeks to thirteen years old. We offer half day, full day, part-time, full-time Preschool and/or Daycare programs to work with your child's needs and your family's schedule.

Our Program

Our program is HighScope based and set up in a developmentally appropriate fashion that allows children of all ages the chance to explore our many learning areas throughout the day. Our certified and experienced teaching staff put much thought and planning on a daily basis into each learning areas to ensure that all areas are fun, creative, and challenging yet a place where children want to participate and learn!

Adults and Children — Partners in learning
HighScope's vision of preschool education, children are doers and problem solvers, and adults are partners who share in children’s discoveries and gently guide their learning.

Active Learning
We call this approach active participatory learning. In it, young children build or “construct” their knowledge of the world — finding out how the world works through their own direct experience with people, objects, events, and ideas.

We are a Great Start Readiness Program!

Where We Are Located

Play and Learn is adjacent to the Saline Evangelical Home, which is attached to St. Joseph Mercy Saline Hospital. Our children come to us both from the workers of the Evangelical Home and hospital and the Saline/Ann Arbor community. We are very close to downtown Saline and have a convenient drop-off & pick-up area for parents to take advantage of.

How to Learn More

Please explore our website by clicking on the links above!  We try to keep our site as up-to-date as possible to better service our current families and potential new families.

We also encourage parents and their children to come visit our school during a typical day to really get a feel for how our program operates and how the children spend their days. We love meeting new friends! Call or email us to set up a tour of our school with our director, Laura Nola. We know that choosing a program for your child(ren) can be very stressful, but we'll try to make it as easy for you as possible!
